What should be the ideal daily routine for children?

Most of us know what our kids should do for the whole day. Doing anything and everything without any proper scheduling leads to fuss and chaos. We are always taught to manage our time. Performing a particular task at a particular time and doing it every day eventually becomes a habit and thus we learn to manage our time. That’s what we need to teach our kids.

Children are the most curious creature made by god. They need to learn many and most of the things in their childhood to develop their mind. It is very difficult to change any habit if it is not been changed during their childhood period. So to inculcate good habits, knowledge, wisdom, good manners, and creativity, one should ask their kids to follow below mentioned daily routine.

The daily routine for children:

Wake up early:- “Wake up John fast else ill beat you up”. Do you realize how you wake your children up? You scream, sometimes beat the hell out of them. It is very important for your child to wake up early in the morning to make it a habit forever. Waking up early has many benefits that have been proved in many kinds of research. It is said that if you wake up early you are most likely to be ahead of your competitors. Every successful people wakes up early for their dream. We need to inhibit this habit into our children for future benefits. Use alarms and make their mind anyhow and convince them to wake up early because if he will wake up early, he will be able to complete all his daily routine on time.

Exercise/yoga:- Exercise is a vital activity in everyone’s life. People don’t do exercise and make excuses that they don’t get enough time for it. Everyone knows, you lying to yourself. Exercise acts as fuel in your body. It gives you energy and you stay active the whole day. Every part of your body needs movement and that can be achieved with exercise only. If a person has a habit of exercising daily, even a tornado won’t stop him. So you need to make your child habitual to exercise. Once this habit is built, you don’t have to worry about your child’s health. After waking up ask your child to go for morning walk, perform 10–15 minutes of exercise/yoga in the park, and 10minutes of meditation. The morning walk will let your children inhale the fresh air, exercise/yoga will make him physically fit and meditation will result in sharping your child’s mind and make him mentally fit as well

Eat breakfast:- Taking a bath after exercise is prominent. All the impurities will be cleaned out. Serve your child a good plate of breakfast. The breakfast should include all the required nutrients like carbohydrates, vitamins, proteins, fats, etc. Instead of giving bread at breakfast, give him real food. Serve him chapatti with green vegetables, juice, and a glass of milk. Providing sprouted grams and beans with a piece of jaggery is again the healthiest food. Breakfast should be heavy enough so that your child doesn’t suffer from a lack of energy during the day.

Go to school:-Every child should go to school to educate himself. A school is a place where we don’t just study but also learn many curriculum activities. It is the best place to grow as a child and gain confidence, a positive attitude, and friends. Schools are said to be the second home of children where teachers are their second mother who educate them.

Have lunch:- By the time children return back to the home they become hungry. They need to eat 4–5 times a day to fill up the nutrients requirement. So after returning back from school serve them lunch. Give them nutritious food at lunch as well.

Rest:- After having lunch, direct your child to rest for some time. Since they start in the morning and stay involved in one or other activities, so they need a few hours of the day to rest. They can sleep for an hour or just lay down. Their body will be relaxed and calm during this time and they will get up with a fresh mood.

Bite and play:- Give your kid some mood refreshing food to boost up the evening. Some sort of juice or healthy snacks will do wonders.

Playing is as important as studying and eating. Every child should play some outdoor activities. Some children play all the time. That should not be done. Since every activity has time to be done, likewise playing should be on time as well. Children should be motivated to play outside. Let your children choose one specific game to play every day. This way, he will be good at it and will also lead to his good physical health. And maybe in the future, he can pursue it as a career. Outdoor games help in the growth of height and eliminate toxins from the body through sweating.

Study:- You must be thinking why didn’t I mentioned tuitions. Let me tell you. We should try our best to make our child self-learner as much as possible. Self-learning is a skill required when we are grown up. People possessing such skills do good in their lives and those who always need mentors to learn usually end up being late in the race. So try to make your child self-learner. Let them study on their own. You as a parent can help him with it. If there is a real need for tutors then appoint one but only for a limited period. Most of the time ask them to learn by themselves. During this time direct them to complete their homework and do all the pending work related to their studies.

Entertainment time:- Entertainment is crucial in everyone’s life. We all get tired after running all day for some or the other work. So it’s essential to have a good laugh. You can make them watch some gentle, pure comedy shows or ask them to read any comic book. Even sitting with the family and enjoying the chit chats are part of the entertainment. It acts as a booster for the next day. During this time, you can teach your child some good lessons and moral values. This is the most significant part played by parents. Moral values will make your child a good person in the future. Always strive to give at least half an hour to your children during the day.

Dinner:- Just like other meals, dinner is essential to eat. Dinner should always be light. Search for a light meal for dinner. Because we need very little energy at night and we straight away go to bed after eating. No activities lead to the formation of bad fat in the body and indigestion. So always have a light meal.

Night walk:- Always try to go out for a night walk with your children so that dinner digest easily. Also walking at night is so pleasurable and soothing. The black sky and shining stars give enormous peace. Even you can play with your children at night.

Read books:- Books are considered as humans best friends. Good books give good vibes and inculcate positive thinking and enhance knowledge. Inhibit the habit of reading books daily in your child. It’s a very great habit. Even reading one or two pages daily is enough. Reading while going to bed is the best time. Because one feels fresh and satisfied.

Recall whole day:- Before sleeping asks your child to recall each and every activity and things that he has done during the day. He will get to know what good and bad tasks he has done so far during the day. This will not only make him realize about good and bad deeds but he will also be careful for the next day. Your child develops good memory power if he recalls everything every night.

Sound sleep:- Sleeping on time is essential to ensure good health. Eight hrs of sleep is required by our body. Some children tend to sleep late. Sleeping late at night creates lots of problems. Your child can suffer from depression, anxiety, and insomnia. To avoid it, ask your children to sleep on time every night to make it a habit.

Bonus point

. Hobby:- During vacations or holidays, you can involve your children in some hobbies. Whatever your kid likes doing, it becomes their hobby. It could be singing, dancing, reading books, cooking, planting, etc. Hobbies refresh their mind and enhance creativity levels. Ask them to practice and improve their hobbies during holidays so that they can become their talent. Some children are not good with studies but do wonders in other things. So make sure your children give full attention to their hobbies as well so that they can choose it as a career in future in case they lag behind in studies.

This should be the daily routine for the children to follow every day to have a good and healthy life. One can cheat from this routine once in a month to refresh the mood.
